日本人は日本の「サービス」がきめ細やかでよいと思っているけど、実際は日本の「サービス」の多くは客には何の意味もない自己満。成田で、地上整備の人が飛行機に手を振らされているのを観たことがあるでしょう。客にとって何の役にもたたないことを「心をこめました」とか言うのが日本の「サービス」。それに感激する人もいる一方で、それを押しつけがましくてうっとうしいと思う人もたくさんいる。このぼくを含め。

ましてそれでお金を取るとなると、どうよ。日本の床屋さんは頭をマッサージしてくれたり、肩をもんであの手のひらで「ぶっ、ぶっ」と音を立てながら背中を叩いてくれたりする。あれはあれでおもしろいと思うこともあるけど、正直いってなんで床屋でそんなことをしてもらう必要あるのか意味わからないし、みんなそんなものに大した付加価値を感じてないから千円床屋に流れる。日本人だって実は、そんな「サービス」なんかさして評価してないのだ。

　

「旅行業、小売り業、外食産業、調理法、輸送・配送業、美容業界、事務手続き業、修理業、クリーニング業」が海外展開に向いていて日本に圧倒的な競争力があるなら、なぜすでに出ていないの？　というのも当然考えるべき疑問。それは当然、競争力なんかないから。というよりそれ以前の認識がまちがいすぎ。
